Export Outlook Mailbox to PST From Microsoft 365
There are two ways to export your Outlook mailbox to PST from Microsoft 365:
Using the Outlook application:
Open the Outlook app.
Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
Select Export to a file and click Next.
Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next.
Select the email account you want to export and make sure the Include subfolders checkbox is selected.
Click Browse to choose a location and name for your PST file.
Click Finish to start the export process.
Using the Exchange Admin Center (EAC):
Log in to the EAC.
Navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes.
Select the mailbox you want to export and click the … (ellipsis) button.
Select Export to a PST file.
Review the settings and click Export.
The EAC will start exporting the mailbox to a PST file. You will receive an email notification when the export is complete.
Once the export process is complete, you can open the PST file in Outlook to access your exported mailbox data.
Note: If you are exporting a large mailbox, it may take some time for the export process to complete. You can check the progress of the export by opening the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and looking for the Outlook PST Export process.
