SIte search box
I would like to have a search site box in a sidebar (with controllable positioning) or as menu selection. Right now it's at the bottom

We have wdiget functionality that allows you to add in whatever you would like into the sidebar. However, I should note that we test the positioning of the search box extensively, including header, sidebar positions and footer already.
